SENA -- Arthur A. Sena, age 82, passed away after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 53 years, Margaret Mae (CdeBaca) Sena. Arthur was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, growing up at 811 1/2 West Manhattan. Arthur was born in Santa Fe on June 2, 1925. He attended Guadalupe Catholic School, and Harrington Jr. High. He then served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the U.S.S. Nevada on the European Front. Upon his return from Military Service he owned and operated El Dorado Liquor and Grocery Store, located on Hancock Street in Santa Fe. Upon closing his business he became an Ironworker with Ironworker Local 495. He later became president and business agent of that Union until his retirement. The health and well being of his family, friends and fellow Ironworkers were always at the forefront of his life, actions and ethics. Arthur was preceded in death by his son, Alfonso Abram Sena; his parents, Abran and Elena Sena of Santa Fe; his brothers, Alejandro and John "Bouncer" Sena; and sisters, Rosina, Dolores J. Sena of Santa Fe and Lena Molinari of California; his father-in-law, Alfonso CdeBaca and mother-in-law, Kathryn (Martinez) CdeBaca of Santa Fe. Arthur is survived by daughter, Kathleen Sena and son, Christopher Kyle Sena of Edgewood, son Martin (Marty) Sena and son Justin of Santa Fe, son Frank Sena (and Pam) of Bosque Farms and children, Cody Joe (and Jody), Jolynn and Camille Sena of Albuquerque, son, Richard Sena (and Linda) and daughters Jennifer and Amber of Albuquerque and son, Arthur A. Sena Jr. (and Jean) of Albuquerque. Great-grandchildren Jasmine Alana and Destiny Sena and great-grandson Lavondrick Terrel. His sister Marie Marquez of Santa Fe also survives him. Never a stranger did he meet that by the time the conversation was over he'd made another friend. He taught his children and grandchildren to respect others, to give 110% to what ever they were involved in and to give above average commitment to their families, friends and professions. Many will miss Arthur. But each of us knows he will be with his family in heaven watching out for us here. We love you Arthur, "dad", "pa".
