PHILLIPS -- Mary Di Ferdinando Phillips died in Albuquerque, Monday, January 7, 2008. Mary is survived by her children, Nathan Phillips and wife, Vivian and daughter, Agata Barteau, all of Albuquerque; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Orlan Nathan Phillips and her two brothers, Samuel and Alfredo Di Ferdinando. Mary was born in Monticelli, Italy on August 8, 1921. She and her family immigrated to the United States in the mid 1920s. Her family settled in Durango, CO. Mary worked for many years at Mercy Hospital in Durango. She met the love of her life and she and Nathan eloped and got married in Aztec, NM. They moved to Albuquerque in 1953. She was always friendly with everyone she met. Memorial Services will be held Friday, January 11, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
