BENNETT -- Stephen Nahshon Bennett passed away Thursday, January 3, 2008 and joined our Lord in Heaven. Stephen was 23 years old. He is survived by his mother, Tammy Cordova Landrum; father, Stephen Bennett; sister, Livia Landrum; grandparents, Tony and Rosalie Cordova, all of Albuquerque; aunt, Tina Cordova and Russ Steward; David James, Charlotte, Demetrius, and Marcus Montoya; uncle, Matt Cordova, Rita Garcia, April, Valerie, and Audrey Cordova; uncle, Bill and Aunt Stacey, McKenzie, Luke, and Jackson Cordova; grandfather, Donald and Kay Bennett of White Cloud, Michigan; uncle, Mark Bennett and Aunt Jennifer Bennett; cherished girlfriend, Paula Tapia-Budd with her children, Rashauna, Laticia and LaVon Budd; and many other loving family members and friends. Stephen was a resident of Tularosa in his youth where he loved to play in the ditches, hunt rabbits in the hills, play with his cousins, and generally just be a beautiful little fun loving boy. Stephen eventually moved to Albuquerque where he worked very successfully at Queston Construction. Stephen was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing, where they shared stories, prayed, laughed, cried, and celebrated his beautiful life. All who knew Stephen were blessed and enriched by his gentle heart, beautiful soul and caring personality. Stephen's absence from our lives leaves cherished memories as we bid him a sorrowful farewell until we meet again in heaven. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, January 6, 2008, 4:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th Street NW. A Mass and Celebration of Stephen's life will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008, 9:00 a.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be William Cordova, Matthew Cordova, David James Montoya, Louis Vigil, Russell Steward, Ignacio Ramirez, Russell Palmer, George, Vidal Trujillo, JP Grant III, Jacob Guzman, Lavon Budd, Gerritt, Ray Sainz, Daniel John Wilson, and Michael Balleau.
