VALENCIA -- Ernest John Valencia "Ernie", age 44, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2007. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, August 27th 1963. Ernie will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends. Ernie was a friend to all who knew him and to anyone who met him. He honorably served in the US Army for 5 years and served in Desert Storm. Ernie also worked for Intel, the largest computer chip manufacturer in the world. He finished school with a Bachelor's of Applied Science and a Master's of Business Administration. Ernie loved singing and going to karaoke bars with his friends. Ernie made his first music CD five years ago and just recently recorded some new songs. He is one of the best. Ernie was the father of two children, Ernest James Valencia and Desiree Monique Valencia; the brother of Toby Valencia, Sidney Valencia, Kathy Escarcida, Ricky Valencia, Dennis Valencia, Mathew Valencia, and Rodney Valencia. Ernie is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins who loved and will miss him greatly. Visitation and services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, New Mexico. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. with a visitation also. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery near the corner of Highway 550 and I-25 also in Bernalillo. Pallbearers will be Pat Jaramillo, David Dowdikan, Frederic Brody, Dennis Barry, Charles Valencia, Steven Valencia and Albert Caceres. The honorary pallbearer will be Robert Baca.
