COLLIE -- Mae Guidry Collie, 90, passed away in Shreveport, LA, on December 23, 2007, with her children at her side. Mrs. Collie was born in Broussard, LA, on March 31, 1917. She married Robert J. Collie in 1941 and they lived in Shreveport and Jennings, LA during their 56 years of marriage. Mr. Collie preceded her in death in December, 1997. She is survived by her son, Al Collie and his wife, Judy of Albuquerque; her daughter, Nancy Simonton of Shreveport; and her daughter, Jeanie McCausland and her husband, Ed of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Courtney Collie and her husband, Kyle Van Horn of Evanston, IL; and her step-grandson, Damon McCausland and his wife, Deidre Sewell and their baby daughter, Maiti Quinn McCausland of Ft. Collins, CO. Also surviving are her sisters, Annie Fatjo of Lafayette and Leona Hernandez of Denham Springs; as well as special cousin, Jimmy St. Julien of Stockbridge, GA. Mrs. Collie was predeceased by her sisters, Gladys Krepper, Beatrice Guidry, and Odessa Leonard and step-grandson, Matthew McCausland. Services and burial were held in Shreveport on December 26, 2007.
