GARRITY -- John James Garrity, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1974, died Saturday, November 17, 2007. John was born and raised in Chicago, IL. John was a loving and devoted family man survived by his spouse, Patricia Ann O'Leary and nine children, Brian Garrity, Jeanne and husband, Jose Senaro, Fr. Sean Garrity, CSB, Emmett and wife, Patti, Kevin and wife, Michelle, Patrick and wife, Becky, Marianne and husband, Vern Wood, Michael and wife, Deidre, Sharon and husband, David Hebert; 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; three siblings, Patricia Flood and Sheila Douglas of the Chicago area and Robert E. Garrity of Elephant Butte, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents; five of his siblings of Chicago; and one great-grandchild. John was a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, served in the US Navy during the Korean War, was a member of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society for twenty five years, and retiree of the Internal Revenue Service. Sean Garrity at 6:00 p.m., Service and viewing 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Tennessee and Lomas NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
