CHRISTIANSEN -- Marjorie M. Christiansen, age 85 passed away on November 22, 2007 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Canton, IL to John E. and Margaret E. Miner long time residents of Albuquerque. Marjorie received her B.S and M.A degree from UNM and received a PhD from Utah State University in Nutrition Education. She was a Science Instructor at the Regina School of Nursing in Albuquerque, NM and was a Professor Emerita at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. Marjorie was part of Bernalillo County Mental Health Development Center as a nutritional consultant; Marjorie was a member of the American Dietetic Association, past President of the Virginia Dietetic Association, as well as the past president for the Albuquerque District Dietetic Association. Recently Marjorie was the Chairman of the Resident Council of the Woodmark at Uptown; she was a member of several honorary societies including Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Xi. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Dr. Karen Miller and husband, Joel of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter, Sherri Johnston and husband, Ray; great-grandchildren; Rachel Marie and Shawn Christian Johnston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Ted L. Christiansen. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
