WOOD -- Marcia Lee White Wood, loving wife and mother, died Friday, October 26, 2006 at The Cottages of Albuquerque from complications associated with Alzheimer's. Marcia was born in Baytown, Texas and graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Elementary Education. It was in college that Marcia met her husband, Dr. Charles Wood. Marcia taught 1st grade while Charles finished Dental School in Dallas. The couple moved to Albuquerque in 1965 with their two children. Marcia was active in her church and community, serving as the Children's Supervisor for New Mexico and Arizona with Bible Study Fellowship for 11 years. She enjoyed sewing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Marcia is survived by a son, Stephen Wood and his spouse, Ilaria of Atlanta; a daughter, Michelle Mouck and her spouse, Sam of Albuquerque, and their two children, Bobby and Adrienne. A private memorial service attended by the family will be held later this week. The family requests that remembrances be made as contributions to Bible Study Fellowship (bsfinternational.org) or the Alzheimer's Foundation (alzfdn.org) in her memory.
