ROMERO -- Felix G. Romero passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in Albuquerque at the age of 87. Mr. Romero is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Delphinia Romero; his wife Tommie; brother, Simon Romero; sister, Pauline Apodaca; and brother, Nick Romero. He is survived by his daughter, Juanita Gonzalez and husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Danny Olivas, Robert Cote, and James Gonzalez; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Jaden, Christopher, Robert X. and James Jr.,; and one great great-grandson, Aidan. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Lucy Romero, Ida Perea, Gilly Romero, Theresa Garcia and Christine Boyd; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Rosary for Mr. Romero will be recited on Sunday evening, November 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2007 also at Holy Rosary Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Daddy, Papito, Grandpa, our hall of famer; it was our privilege and honor to have known this man for as long as we did. Our dad was a baker for more than 40 years and drove a taxi part time. He loved the Casino, enjoyed taking trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas Nevada well as spending time with friends and family. Papito, we are going to miss you. Pallbearers will be Danny Olivas, Robert Cote, James Gonzalez, Anthony Romero, Charlie Gonzalez and Teddy Perea. Honorary Pallbearer will be Robert X. Cote.
