LINDSEY -- Victor B. Lindsey, 84, passed away September 13, 2007, after an extended convalescence in Long Beach, CA. He was preceded in death by his son, Curtis. He is survived by his sons, Stuart and Jason; and his daughters, Sara and Kathleen; former wife, Catherine; as well as his eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Brinan, Jack, Sam, Demery, Eva, Ella, and Lucas. A 30-year resident of Albuquerque, he worked locally in radio (KGGM) under the name Ben Callahan and newspaper for the Albuquerque Journal (59-61). He also worked in radio and newspaper in Ft. Scott and Pittsburgh, KS. After leaving radio and newspaper he worked in Washington, D.C. for the Department of Labor, in Albuquerque for the Council of Governments and the National Alliance of Businessmen, in Los Alamos for the Zia Company, and in Santa Fe for the Health and Human Services Department for the State of New Mexico, where he retired after 20 years. After leaving Albuquerque, he resided in Carson City and Reno, NV, before settling in Long Beach, CA, where he spent his remaining 10 years. Though he had not been of resident of Albuquerque for some time, he still considered it home and is where he wished to be interred near his son, Curtis. A Wake was held at the home of his son, Jason, on October 13, 2007 with the surviving family members. Interment will take place at a later date at Fairview Memorial Park.
