PIERCE -- Hazel Faye Pierce, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 16, 2007. Hazel and her late husband, Muggins were charter members of the Belen Moose Lodge Chapter 1648. After Muggins' death in 1998, she continued supporting the Lodge and all the friends that she met there were like her second family. Her Moose buddies were so good to her and they brought her great joy. Hazel loved her family dearly and cherished the times when they could all be together. She was a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, and granny. She was an avid gardener and loved growing vegetables to give away to family and friends. Hazel loved fishing and enjoyed taking her pontoon boat out on Conchas Lake. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Hazel is survived by her two loving daughters and their husbands, Shari and Dick Allen of Albuquerque and Suzanne and Dicky Romero of Belen; six grandchildren, Robin Brazil and her husband, Tom, Shawn Lohkamp and her husband, Don, and Stacy Lucero and her husband, Kelly, all of Albuquerque. Craig Romero of Santa Fe, NM, Melanie Romero of Dallas, TX, and Sky Romero of Alameda, CA; five great-grandchildren, Tyler and Cason Brazil, Kevin and Alexandria "Alex" Cobb, and Kaeleb Lucero. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Hazel also leaves behind a very dear friend whom she considered a sister, Dee McNeely. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Belen Moose Lodge 1648 on Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sign Hazel's online register book at www.romerofuneralhomenm.com.
