LUCERO -- Joe Nabor Lucero passed away Friday, October 12, 2007 and is now with our Lord. He was born July 23, 1928 in Moquino, NM to Perfilio and Predicanda Lucero. Joe served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and retired from Allied Van Lines. He was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Parish and a member of American Legion Post 99. Joe was preceded in death by his son, Perfilio Lucero. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Erlinda; sons, Michael, Philip and wife, Eileen, and Patrick; and daughters, Joanna Vigil and Linda Caskey and husband, Bill; sisters, Laura Garcia and husband, Richard and Fella Stockham, all of Albuquerque. He has 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Joe was loved by all who knew him and will truly be missed. He enjoyed playing his guitar and accordion and singing, and we will miss his music. Pallbearers will be Michael Lucero, Philip Lucero, Patrick Lucero, Robert Lucero, Kyle Lucero, Alan Lucero and Jake Lucero. Honorary pallbearer will be Edward Herrera. The Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. The Mass of the Resurrection will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, 6:00 p.m. until the Rosary.
