CHAVEZ -- Mrs. Margaret M. Chavez, 86, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on September 10, 2007 peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family and is now in Heaven with our Lord. Mrs. Chavez is the beloved wife to Mr. Hermenes Chavez, married for 66 years. Mrs. Chavez is also survived by her loving children, Benny D. Chavez and Christina, Sally J. Gutierrez and husband, Joe, Roberta D. Rubio, Elaine I. Garcia and husband, Steve; three sisters, Teresa Benavidez, Priscilla Marquez, Rose Baldonado and husband, Eugene; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her parents, Donicio and Josephina, her daughter, Geneva Torres and a grandson, Dino Torres. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church and loved music, dancing, singing and crocheting. Visitation for Mrs. Chavez will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 Stover Ave. SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. by Father Clarence Maes. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Gutierrez, David Chavez, Desi Chavez, Tony Mike Rubio, Christopher Rubio and Eugene Baldonado. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Garcia, Joe Gutierrez and Armando Bencomo. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
