ANDERSON -- Jon R. Anderson, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Jon lost his battle with cancer at his home in Rio Rancho, NM on August 14, 2007. Jon was born in Alamogordo, NM on May 22, 1955 to Lonnie Anderson and Jeanne Anderson. He graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1973. Jon married his high school sweetheart and soulmate, Carron Arias in March of 1974. They had three sons, James, Bryan and Joshua. Jon became a Police Officer for the Alamogordo Dept of Public Safety in May 1977. He retired as a Captain in 1997. He then continued working with the Otero County Sheriffs Dept NECU, and finished his career with the Corrales Police Dept. Two of his sons followed in his footsteps and became Police Officers. Jon graduated from the National FBI Academy in 1995. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Jon is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Anderson. He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Carron Anderson of Rio Rancho, NM; his sons, Jim, of Huntington Beach, CA, Bryan and his wife, Sherran of Surprise, AZ, Joshua and his wife, Stacie of Albuquerque, NM; two grandsons, who thought their Poppa walked on water, Bryce and Cayden of Surprise, AZ; his mother, Jeanne of Alamogordo, NM; his mother and father-in-law, Bill and Gerre Arias of Alamogordo, NM; his sister, Sue and her husband, Don Ainger of Grassvalley, CA; his brother, Lonnie of Farmington, NM; brother Donnie and his wife, Barbara, of Las Cruces, NM; his sister, Lora and her husband, Shem Peachey of Alamogordo, NM; and sister Betty Thomas of Alamogordo, NM. He had numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Direct Funeral Services at 2919 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107 on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
