FERNANDEZ -- Susanna Regina Romero Fernandez, born May 6, 1952, in Albuquerque, and a lifelong resident, went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2007. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fernandez, she is survived by her parents, George and Gertrude Romero of Belen; son, Robert Fernandez and wife, Yvonne; grandson, Robert George of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers, George Romero and wife Theresa of Los Lunas, and Reuben Romero and Irene of Albuquerque; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and many friends. Susan was a graduate of Rio Grande High School, Class of 1970, and continued her education at the University of New Mexico (UNM), where she received several degrees. She was employed with Bernalillo County Public Works for close to 20 years. Susan loved music and dancing. She loved to travel; her most recent trip was to Europe. She was full of life and laughter. She will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.
