NEWMAN -- Dorothy Marie Newman passed away June 7, 2007. She was born in Scott City, KS March 15, 1922. Poetry and various forms of artwork were common nature to her loving and giving character. Though plagued by ill health for the last three years she was always in positive spirit and complaints had no place in her vocabulary. She resided in Albuquerque, NM the majority of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Newman and daughter, Sue Katz. She is survived by her son, Charles Rodenbeek who took loving care of her. She is also survived by her brothers, Bob and Gary Cook, their wives, Margaret and Carmen; grandsons, Moeshe Katz and Ari Katz. Her husband, Charlie's family loved her like a mom, they are Ann Mackey and Dennis Stein; their grandchildren, Tyler and Robin; and great-grandchildren, Gavin and wife, Victoria; granddaughter, Shannon; Chuck and Karen Newman and grandson, Colton; Don and Denise Newman and grandchildren, Jennifer and Joshua. She is also survived by her two best friends, Mary Lou Banks, of Albuquerque, and Jean Hardy of Scott City, KS. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be arranged for close friends and family in the near future.
