ERDMANN -- Don Erdmann, age 45, passed away April 24, 2007 in St. Martin. Don leaves behind his adoring wife, Holly Erdmann; his children, Derek Stock, Brittney, and Hailey Erdmann of Albuquerque, Dan and Evan Erdmann of Georgia; his mother, Margaret Erdmann of Mobridge, SD; his siblings, Rob, Steve, Lee, and Vicky; and numerous loving relatives. Don lived his life to the fullest with his wife, Holly and shared a love rarely experienced. Don graduated South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City as a mechanical engineer. He continued on to receive his MBA in Technology Management, was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and recently earned two certificates in computer programming. He built a stellar career working for the United States Air Force. During his career he held numerous positions. He was selected to work for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons and Counter proliferation Agency as Technical Director for Modeling and Simulation, Nuclear Weapons Technology and Chemical/Biological Deterrence. He was a voting member and technical advisor on multiple Nuclear Weapon Systems Safety Group Operational Safety Reviews, senior system safety analysis engineer for nuclear safety technical matters, and provided expert scientific and engineering advice to agency and other government personnel and industry as well as intelligence/targeting support to Operation Enduring Freedom. Most recently Don served as the Air Force's nuclear certification engineering program manager with the Command's Nuclear Weapons Center. Don's love for family, friends, soccer and Mystic will be remembered in a Celebration of Life Memorial Service were held on Thursday, May 10, 2007, 10:00 a.m., at Hoffmantown Baptist Church, 8888 Harper Dr. NE, with Pastor Ken Moore officiating.
