BROOKS -- Marian Joyce Brooks, 72 of Newport, TN, passed away Tuesday May 8, 2007 at her home. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ronald E. Brooks; children, Michael Brooks of Portsmouth, VA, Rene McCullough of Newport, TN, Gregory and Tina Brooks of Norfolk, VA, Kevin and Debbie Brooks of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Adam, Melissa, Amanda, Aleisha, Brad, Vanessa, Savannah, Katie, Preston, and Cecilia; and four great-grandchildren. Prior to retiring to Newport, TN, Marian and Ron lived in Albuquerque, NM where she was a medical assistant by trade and was very active in the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Lois Russell of Albuquerque, NM; and her niece, Terry McGinnis; many friends and loved ones. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Alberta (Smith) Wiseman; and children, Steven and Brian Brooks. Brown Funeral Home, Newport, TN, is in charge of arrangements.
