BRETTON -- Marian More Bretton, 82, passed away on May 7, 2007 in Albuquerque. Mrs. Bretton was born on May 3, 1925 in Evanston, IL to Angus More Sr. and Viola (Fessman) More. She was a member of the Duke City Bridge Club, the Historical Society of Early American Decoration (HSEAD), and a life member of Rosemalers of New Mexico. She was preceded in death by a son, Alexander (Alec) More Bretton in 2001. She received her BA in 1947 and her MA in 1951 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Henry L Bretton; daughter, Elizabeth More Bretton, M.D. and husband, John Lorio; and brother, Angus More Jr. and wife, Ann, of Rockford, IL. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2007 at the Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo de Norte NE, Albuquerque, with Pastor Dewey Johnson officiating.
