GABALDON -- PAUL A. Mr. Paul A. Gabaldon, 80, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on May 1, 2007 peacefully at home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Gabaldon is the beloved husband to Mrs. Ruth Gabaldon married for 50 years. Mr. Gabaldon is also survived by his loving children, Col. Raymond Gabaldon and wife, Maria, Anna Griego and husband, Steve, Pauline Chavez and husband, Ray, Catherine Maestas and husband, David, Joseph Gabaldon and wife, Geraldine, Arlene Sanchez and husband, Leo; three sisters, Theresa Baca and husband, Matt, Margaret Pyle and husband, Ray, Vera Baca and husband, Adam; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Gabaldon was preceded in death by his son, Peter Gabaldon; his parents, Donicio and Maria Gabaldon; three brothers, Tony, Raymond, and Henry Gabaldon. Mr. Gabaldon was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. Mr. Gabaldon was employed by A.T.& S.F. Railroad for 35 years as a purchasing agent. Visitation for Mr. Gabaldon will be Sunday afternoon from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Monday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Father Stephen Schultz. A Committal Service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Military Honors by the United States Army. Pallbearers will be Raymond Gabaldon, David Maestas Jr., Leo Sanchez, Jeremiah Griego, Pablo Gabaldon, Johnny Gabaldon, Randy Vallejos, and Ray Chavez.
