SAAVEDRA -- Eloyd Saavedra, 60, a resident of Albuquerque/Bibo passed away on April 27, 2007. Eloyd is the beloved husband to Erlinda Saavedra, married for 34 years. Eloyd is also survived by four sisters, Agnes Marquez and husband, Joe, Lillian Saavedra, Donna Vallejos and husband, Phillip, Irene Saavedra and husband, Joey; five brothers, Albino Saavedra, Bernie Saavedra, Pete Saavedra and wife, Louise, Joe Saavedra and wife, Roseann, Clarence Saavedra and wife, Mary; one aunt, Trinnie Lopez and husband, Cresencio; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Eloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Flaviano and Flora Saavedra and a sister, Cora Saavedra. Eloyd was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam Era. Visitation for Eloyd will be Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. A Committal Service with Military Honors by the United States Army will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery Friday at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearer will be Bernie Saavedra.
