MCSWAIN -- H. Thomas McSwain, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1997, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2007. Tom came to New Mexico from Dallas, TX. He was born January 26, 1920 the son of Henry G. and Elma Day McSwain in Coal Hill, AR. Tom graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston, TX. Tom was a loving and devoted husband and father. He loved playing tennis and gardening. Tom was a member of the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 60 years, Joyce. He is survived by one son, Steven McSwain and wife, Brenda, of Placitas, NM; one brother, H. G. McSwain and wife, Gean of Ft. Smith, AR; and two sisters, Drucilla Geisel and husband, Victor of Gaineseville, TX, and Ruth Brasuell and husband, John of Eugene, OR. A Memorial Service will be held for Tom on Friday, May 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, 1004 24th St. SE, Rio Rancho.
