COX -- Robert W. Cox passed away April 24, 2007, in Santa Cruz, CA, following an illness at the age of 88. Mr. Cox was born in Alliance, OH, February 12, 1919. A graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in mechanical engineering, his career was as a mechanical engineer for 36 years with Wean United Corp. Robert had served as LtJG with the U.S. Navy in WWII. Robert's devoted and loving wife, Thelma predeceased him in December 2001. He is also survived by his son. Douglas D. (wife. Yvonne) of Albuquerque, NM. a CPA with Atkinson Co.; and daughter, Judith A. Cox, Chief Probation Officer with Santa Cruz County. He leaves his grandchildren. Anicca Cox of Taos, NM, Conor and Rasma Cox. both of Albuquerque, NM. and Briana Cox of Sacramento, CA; his brother. Ted Cox of Henderson, NV; and sister. Catherine Santschi of North Carolina; and was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Lewis and Dr. David J. Cox. The family requests any remembrances be made to Hospice Caring Project, 940 Disc Dr., Scotts Valley, CA 95066. Care was entrusted to Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel and private cremation services were held.
