BOYDSTON -- Tomasita Prudencia (Prudy) Boydston, kown as "Lencha" by her family and friends when she was young, age 77, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 12, 2007. She touched many lives with her ministry to the elderly and gift of cooking at Queen of Heaven Church and was a Eucharistic Minister at San Clemente. Prudencia shared numerous gifts with her family and friends, including a strong dedication to the senior citizens of her community and a healthy understanding of the cycle of life, which has helped her family to cope with her passing. We will never forget her and will strive to honor her memory in our daily interactions with others. Prudencia is survived by three children, Mary Helen Kugler and her husband, Randy, Yolanda Flowers and her husband, Owen, and Tommy Boydston and his wife, Amy; eight grandchildren, Tim, Dyan, Joseph, Jenelle, Jason, Aaron, Yvette, and Kelly; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Gus Durand and Andrew Durand and his wife, Trinnie. She was also blessed with several loving nieces, nephews and many friends. A Communion Service will be held at Queen of Heaven Church, on Monday, April 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery.
