PIERCE -- Prudence M. Pierce, (Prudy), passed away April 4, 2007, in Albuquerque, after a brief illness. Prudy was born in New Kensington, PA, on February 23, 1945. She came to New Mexico in 1963 to attend UNM, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree. Prudy leaves behind her husband of 36 years, Thomas; and her son, Thomas III. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan McLanahan of Leechburg, PA; her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Rich Carlson, of Suwanee, GA; three nephews; a niece, three grand-nephews; and of course, Poopsie; and all her beloved horses. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at Aspen Funeral Alternatives, 1935 Juan Tabo NE, in Albuquerque. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local Animal Humane Association.
