BURKHOLDER -- Victoriana Burkholder, "Nana Vickie", went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2007 surrounded by loving family, she was 85. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul and nephew whom she raised, Bobby Lovato. She is survived by her son, Leo A. Saenz and his wife, Ester; foster son, Paul Ouellette; daughter-in-law, Rosalie Saenz and fiance, Ramon Marquez; grandsons, Tim Saenz and wife, Terrie, and Anthony Saenz; granddaughter, LuAnne Alcantar. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Matthew Yanni, Erika Yanni, Ashley Alcantar; and great-great-grandson, Richard Madrid; also many other loving relatives and friends. She was born Victoriana Sandoval Quintana on November 4, 1921 in Placitas. She lived her entire life in the Albuquerque area, and owned "Vickie's Beauty Shop", on Freeman and North Fourth, from the late fifties to the early seventies. Later on she and Paul opened "Paul's Sewer Service" and ran it until retirement in the mid-nineties. She was very involved with her family's lives and was always there when needed by anyone. She was known for her strong Christian faith and attended Evangel Temple for many years. She loved to fish, bake pies, and was a big sports fan, especially of her kid's teams, the Lobos and the Dukes. She will be dearly missed. There will be a visitation from 4 - 6 p.m. with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, with a Graveside Service on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park on Menaul and Edith with Reverend Raymond L. Franks officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Saenz, Anthony Saenz, Paul Ouellette, Randy Perea, Edward Alcantar, and Ramon Marquez. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd.
