DALIA -- Jeffrey Lewis Dalia, age 67, died on Tuesday, February 19, 2007, in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Long Beach, CA on June 18, 1939, to George and Martha Dalia. Jeff's roots to New Mexico go back to his grandfather, Samuel Wilkinson, who was a doctor in Belen. Jeff was a loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. In 1963, Jeff graduated from WestPoint. He served in the Army for twenty years. Jeff, Hedy and daughters, Petra and Andrea moved often. Duty stations included South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Washington, Kansas, Berlin, and Hawaii. Jeff served two tours in Vietnam. In 1976, Jeff was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy from Georgia State University. After retiring from the Army, Jeff taught at the College of Santa Fe and the University of New Mexico. Jeff established and was, for ten years, the sole proprietor of The Learning Lab, a training facility. Until his death, Jeff worked as an independent contractor for Southwestern College, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the New Mexico Board of Psychologist Examiners, and the New Mexico Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Jeff is survived by his wife, Hedy; daughter, Andrea with partner, Maria; mother, Martha; grandchildren Danielle, Scott and Caitlin with Dad Wayne and his wife Joanie; brother Chris with wife Margaret; nieces, Katie and Karin; and nephew, Frank. We are at peace to know that Jeff will join his daughter, Petra and his father, George. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, March 11, 2007, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel.
