VALLES -- Paul Ramirez Valles Sr. June 9, 1947 - February 27, 2007 Died abruptly after a fruitful life. Paul was fighting Diabetes and his family thanks all the many wonderful medical staff, family and friends who were fighting for him. A life time resident of Albuquerque, he graduated from Rio Grande H.S. in 1965, an All-American Wrestler (weight 95 and 103 lb) State Champ and two time runner up, 72 wins and 2 Loses. Paul worked in the culinary business for 25 years, APS for eight years, and as a private caterer. His Forte was in the Kitchen, he was a culinary arts Chef Apprentice and Sous Chef. A devoted and loving family man, who loved camping, fishing, California trips, The Cowboys, his kids sports events, coaching wrestling and feeding everyone. Survived by Spouse of 42 years, "Gigi" Dora Valles. Sons, Paul Jr., James and Dominic. Daughter-in-Laws, Michele Savedra and Felicia Mendoza. Grandchildren, Tiffany, Nicollette, Isaiah, Abraham, Heaven, Nadia, Alyiah, and Gabriel. Great-grandchildren, Ilysa, Armando and Diego. Brothers, Marcos, Andrew, John, Pete and Families. Sisters, Lupe Martinez, Lupe Mueller, Linda Valles and Families. Viewing will be Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, 87108 (just North of Central). Services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Oasis Family Church, 4800 Lomas Blvd. NE 87110, (just West of San Mateo).
