RUPPRECHT -- Fred C. Rupprecht, CDR, USN (Ret), 93, died on Thursday, February 22, 2007. He was born on January 23, 1914. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Rupprecht; son, James Rupprecht and his wife, Lynn; stepson, Paul Brehm; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During World War II, Fred served in the USS Portland and was involved in 14 major naval battles. He retired after 29 years of service. Fred was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Sally Rupprecht. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Rupprecht, J. K. Rupprecht, Todd Laver, Paul Brehm, Wayne Brehm, and Chuck Brehm. Honorary Pallbearer will be Richard Cortesi. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the S.P.C.A International at PO Box 0965, Wilton, NH, 03086-9905.
