GARCIA -- Mario Garcia, 54, died on February 19, 2007 at UNM Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Mario was preceded by his father, Rutillo Garcia in 1985. Mario was born in Huitzuco, Guerrero, Mexico April 9, 1952 and came to the United States in 1966. He resided in the Chicago area until 1979 when he made Albuquerque his home. Mario is survived by his mother, Maria Garcia; his son, Mario Garcia Jr. along with his wife, Michelle and their children, Jacob and Madeline; his brothers and sisters, Gerado, Rutillo, Carmen, Alicia, Alfredo, and Rogelio; along with countless uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves his girlfriend, Paula Mora; and many friends. The family thanks the outstanding staff at UNMH MICU for their dedication and professionalism. A Mass will be held at Queen of Heaven Parish located at 5303 Phoenix Ave. NE at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007. Following the Mass there will be a gathering of friends and family. A Viewing will be held on Friday from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Reflections Funerals & Life Celebrations, 2400 Washington St. NE, 884-5777
