BURNS -- Oma Fay Burns, 73, a resident of Tijeras, NM, died Thursday, February 22, 2007. She is survived by her children: Robert Burns Jr. of Albuquerque, Belinda Werner and husband, Albert, of Conchas Dam, NM, Debra Burns and husband, Tommy Knapp, of Sanger, TX, Barbara Foust of Edgewood, NM, Brian Burns and wife, Saundra, of Tijeras, NM, Diane Westfall of Tijeras, NM; five grandchildren, Shannon Lee and husband, Jeffrey, Roger Werner, Anita Rodriguez and husband, Jerry, Tawnya Strittmatter and husband, Joey, Samara Foust and their families; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Bertha May McKeel, Barbara Heath and husband, Clement, and Mary Ellen Jones and husband, Lynwood, all of North Carolina; brother, Lawrence Toler of North Carolina; and numerous other relatives and friends. Fay was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Burns, Sr., in 1999. She was born on April 13, 1933 in New Bern, NC to Charles Brinson and Lottie Fulcher Tingle. Fay married Robert Burns, Sr. on June 30, 1950 in North Carolina. They lived in Chicago prior to moving to New Mexico in 1962. She sold Avon for several years and also served as a Girl Scout Leader. Fay loved the Casino, Bunco, sewing, bowling and cooking, especially her fudge. She was a loving mother and grandmother who spent her life taking care of her family. Fay will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at 10:00 am with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit, P.O.
