GANZERLA -- Mary Helen Ganzerla, 85, died peacefully Monday, January 22, 2007 at her home in Durango, CO surrounded by her family after a lengthy fight with cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columba Catholic Church. Father James Koenigsfeld of St. Columba Catholic Church will be officiating. Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango. Recitation of the Rosary will be at Hood Mortuary on Friday from 5:30 p.m. Visitation will be held at Hood Mortuary on Friday from noon until the start of the Rosary. Mrs. Ganzerla was born March 26, 1921 in Gallup, NM, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Oldham and resided there until retiring in Durango in 1965. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dino Ganzerla, and grandson, Brian Graves. She is survived by Dina O'Brien, Fort Worth, TX; Patricia and Fred Loe, Irving, TX; Tony Ganzerla, Durango, CO; Lisa Ganzerla, Durango, CO; Linda and Jim Ferrell, Allison, CO; caretaker, Katie Morrissey; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and faithful companions, Mia and Sam.
