MANUEL -- Wayne Omar Manuel Jr., Ret. TSgt., USAF, age 58, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2007. He was born in Galax, VA. He served his country in the United States Air Force, where he served in several deployments, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Korea, and Honduras; he retired after 20 years of military service. He was a man of few words, a very giving person with an enormously big heart. Wayne enjoyed traveling, movies, photography and had a huge interest in collecting music. He is survived by his wife, Rose Manuel; his children, Geraldine, Mary Jo, Eddie and their spouses; his sisters, Carolyn G. Manuel, Karen Lukenich and husband Tom, and Wanda O'Neil; nephew, Shane O'Neil; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wayne will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Casket bearers and Military Honors will be accorded by the Kirtland Air Force Base Honor Guard.
