CAIN -- Donald R. Cain, 66, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 29, 2006 after a long illness. Services will be held on January 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Steed Todd Chapel in Clovis, NM, with burial to follow at Hollene cemetery. Don was born on June 18, 1940 in Kaufman, TX to the late Tom and Jimmie Mae Cain. Don married Anita Rierson on February 22, 1959. In 1996 they moved to Conchas Dam, NM where Don retired after 29 years as chief mechanic for PNM. Don was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Don is survived by his wife, Anita of Conchas Dam; children, Deanna Scarton and husband, Les of Albuquerque, Steve Cain of Rio Rancho, Jeff Cain and wife, Leslie of Longveiw, TX, Ronnie Cain and girlfriend, Lorraine of Conchas Dam, Cara Gregory and husband, Peter of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Helping Hands Hospice, 615 South Second St., Tucumcari, NM 88401.
