NIETO -- Andres Arturo Nieto, age 33, passed away on December 19, 2006 following a motor vehicle accident on the Puerto De Luna Highway. Andres was born May 22, 1973 in Albuquerque, NM to the home of Augustin Nieto and Cynthia Baca. He was reared and attended Schools in Santa Rosa. Andres married Tara Ulibarri on October 31, 2003. He was currently working with the Juvenile Probation Office as a Community Support Officer. He was a member of the Santa Rosa Water Board, The Santa Rosa Health Council and Chairman of the Guadalupe County Water Board. Andres enjoyed playing the guitar and was playing bass guitar for the band Sour Mash, he loved the outdoors especially taking hikes with his family, camping and watching and collecting movies. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Baca; his great-grandparents, Nabor and Julia Tenorio; uncles, Andrew Baca and Al Nelson. Survivors include his wife, Tara Nieto of the family home in Puerto De Luna; his children, Andria Nieto and Alcario Nieto of Santa Rosa and Javier Nieto of El Paso, TX; his grandparents, Andres and Polly Baca of Santa Rosa; brother, Gideon Campos of Albuquerque; step-father, Joe Campos of Albuquerque; his father, Augustin Nieto of Missouri. Also surviving are his uncles and aunts: Alfred Baca and wife, Barbara, Arthur Baca and wife, Anastacia, all of Santa Rosa, Kenny Baca and wife, Lyrissa of Las Vegas, NV, Julie Delgado and husband, Richard of Santa Rosa, and Laura Cantu of Phoenix, AZ; as well as numerous cousins and a host of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and a Rosary will be held on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. from St. Rose Church in Santa Rosa. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. also from St. Rose Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
