HOUGHTON -- Paul Wayne Houghton, 84, passed away November 29, 2006. He was a life long resident on Albuquerque. Paul was a 1940 graduate of Albuquerque High and attended UNM. He was involved in the Boy Scouts of America for 16 years, YMCA and Indian Guides for 9 years, ASQC, and also a graduate of the Air War College. He worked his way through his military career in the Air Force, starting off as a Buck Private in the Army Air Corp and retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel, U.S.A.F. Paul is survived by his daughter, Florence K. Houghton and husband, Peter Anders of Los Alamos, NM; two sons, Paul W. Houghton Jr. and wife, Enong of Woodside, CA, and Woods Houghton and wife, Cindy of Carlsbad, NM; six grandchildren, Jannetta, Joshua, Jerimiah, Duston, Forrest, and Serena; along with other family members and friends. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday December 7, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors, burial to follow with military honors at Sunset Memorial Park. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to The Ranch's of New Mexico, the Salvation Army, or to any of the Albuquerque Homeless Shelters.
