GRIEGO -- Leonides (Nilo) Griego, born January 9, 1933, passed away November 15, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Elisa Griego; brother, Johnny; and son, Johnny. He is survived by his wife, Carmelita Griego; three sons, Jerome and wife, Dalia, Robert Sr. and wife, Mary Ann, Eric and girlfriend, Lorenza; granddaughters, Juanita, Danielle, and Andera; grandsons, Robert Jr. and Brandon; great-grandson, Aiden, and one on the way; brother, Romeo; six sisters, Madalena, Angie, Erlinda, Genieve, Adela, and Sandra; three aunts; two uncles; and several nephews, nieces, other family and friends who loved and will miss him. After serving in the United States Air Force, he married on May 18, 1957 and raised his family in the Albuquerque Rio Grande Valley. Nilo touched the lives of family, friends and neighbors, two of which Donald Garcia and Rick Armenta who considered him like a father. Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 9502 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 with Rosary on Sunday November 19, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. and Mass Monday, November 20, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Steven Tapia, Richard Lovato, Dennis Archebeque, Larry Serna, Hank Lucero and Rick Armenta.
