STAFFORD -- Sherman C. Stafford Sr. died on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Leola Stafford; 11 children, Florence Alexander and husband, Earmer, Sherman Stafford Jr. and wife, Denise, Jo Ann Stafford-Chaney and husband, Billy, Shannon Bouldin and husband, Johnny, Lawrence Woods and partner, Melinda McDonald, Mary Woods, Andra Woods and fiance, Richard Fellner, Donna Stafford and fiance, Joe Kirkland, Charlotte Hinderman, Malcolm Stafford and wife, Felicia, and Benny Brown; 32 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Parks, Florida Woods, Verlene Madsen and husband, Eric; and a host of nieces and nephews. Sherman retired from Springer Building Materials after 33 years of service. Services will be held Saturday, October 21, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
