LUCERO -- Modesto Lucero, 77, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 10, 2006. Mr. Lucero was preceded in death by his parents, Mercedonio and Beatrice Lucero; sister, Maria Antonia Sanchez; and nephews, Mariano and Cruz Sanchez. He is survived by his nieces and nephews and their families, Mary Helen Romero, Pauline Valdez, Reynaldo Sanchez, Richard Sanchez, and Gilbert Sanchez. He is also survived by many great-nieces and -nephews. A Rosary for Mr. Lucero will be recited on Wednesday evening, September 13, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2006, also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
