JOHNSON -- Leola (nee Fleshman) Johnson passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006. Lee was born on Monday, November 17, 1924 in Rich Creek, VA, to the late John and Orpha Fleshman. She was raised in Lindside, WV with her nine siblings. As an adult she moved to Chicago, IL, where she met and married her husband, Oury Johnson. In 1970 they moved to Albuquerque. Lee worked as an LPN at Lovelace/Bataan Medical Center for 20 years until her retirement. She was a wonderful, caring, generous mother, wife, grandma, great-grandma, and friend to many. Lee enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, crocheting, and music. She also enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and playing with her two great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and two sisters, and (former) husband. She is survived by her children, Debbie Goolsby and husband, Randy, Connie Johnson, David Johnson, and James Johnson and wife, Barbara; grandchildren, Jeff McKenzie, Scott Goolsby, and Lisa Quinn and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Warrick E. Quinn and Maddox I. Quinn, all of Albuquerque; sisters, Janice Brown of VA, Tula Ryan of Phoenix AZ; numerous nieces and nephews. Lee will be extremely missed by her family and "her goodest friend" Beverly Martinez. She belonged to Lindside Church of The Brethren. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, 9:00 a.m. at French Mortuary - University Blvd. Chapel. Reception will follow. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
