LAVALLEY -- Harold "Pete" LaValley, 83, an Albuquerque resident since 1963, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006. He is survived by sons, Terry C. LaValley and wife, Nancy, of Mesa, AZ and Peter J. LaValley and wife, Susan, of Phoenix, AZ; daughters, Cheryl Carabello and husband, Chuck of Louisville, KY, Vicki Coburn and husband, Critt, of Las Cruces, NM, Barbara Vollmers of Clarkson, KY, Cynthia Mize and husband, Jack, of Albuquerque, and Bonnie Bartlett and husband, Dave, of Albuquerque; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; brothers, Lloyd LaValley of Potsdam, NY and Alfred LaValley and wife, Millie of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Thelma Knott and husband, Cliff of Smithtown, NY and Beverly Schwardfigure and husband, Leroy of Massena, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth E. LaValley in 2001. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE on Monday, August 28, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NM Boys and Girls State Program, c/o American Legion Post # 49, 11007 Central Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87123.
