CROOK -- Jane P. Williamson Crook, 59, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, passed away on July 25, 2006 in Orlando, FL while on vacation with her husband. She is survived by her loving husband, Gene; faithful dog, Christopher; sister, Betty Choc and husband, Paul; nephew, John Paul Choc and wife, Elizabeth; grand-nephew Jacob Choc, all of Albuquerque; step-brother, Jay Krakar and wife, Roberta of California and daughters, Amy and Barbara; step-niece, Vonda Curtis and husband, Ty and children of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lent and Helen Williamson; and step-mother, Winnie Williamson. Jane was very active as a teenager, jeeping and camping around the Southwest with her parents, sister, and friends in the Albuquerque Jeep Herders Club. Jane learned to shoot pistol and rifle in competition and in doing so achieved many awards and honors for her marksmanship. Jane graduated from Manzano High School in 1964 and worked her way through college to attain a BA degree in Business Administration from UNM in 1972. She was employed by Albuquerque National Bank and PNM in data processing, gaining experience in computer systems. She moved to Fort Worth, TX where she was employed by Valero Energy Corp. and General Dynamics as a senior industrial engineer and project manager. After seven years in Texas, she returned to Albuquerque to care for her step-mother upon her father's death. She joined First Security Bank until her retirement and marriage to the love of her life in 1997. Jane and her husband, Gene enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling around the world, making new friends. Jane was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Assistance League of Albuquerque, Four Hills Homeowners Association, Four Hills Country Club, Pendaries Village Community Association, Albuquerque Knife and Fork Club, The Westerners of Albuquerque, and the Elks ladies of BPOE 461, serving as President and supporting Gene as First Lady of the Lodge. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life reception will take place on Friday, August 11, 2006 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Albuquerque Elks Lodge 461, 2430 Centre Avenue SE. Private burial of the cremains will take place at Fairview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jane's name to the Animal Humane Society, the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches, Inc., P.O. Box 9, Belen, NM 87002, or to the charity of your choice. Gene would like to thank everyone for their prayers, calls, and support given him during Jane's illness and subsequent passing.
