CHAPMAN -- George T. Chapman, 78, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, passed away on July 24, 2006. George is survived by his wife, Virginia D. Chapman, whom he married in 1950; one son, Thomas W. Chapman of Albuquerque; two daughters, Christina Tolendino of Los Lunas, NM and Kari Wier of Grand Canyon, AZ; one sister, Virginia A. Chapman of Albuquerque; a brother, William E. Chapman of Denver, CO; grandsons, Erik and Greg Tolendino; granddaughters, Jami Broecher of Kingman, AZ and Christina Wier of Grand Canyon, AZ; two great-granddaughters, Haidyn and Sierra Broecher of Kingman, AZ. George attended Denver University and UNM. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories for 34 years, retiring in 1985. George was an early member of the Albuquerque Z Car Club and he dearly loved that auto! He was also a member of the Model Railroad Club for a number of years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
