GARCIA -- George P. Garcia, age 62, and a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. George was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Garcia and he is survived by Annabelle, his loving and devoted wife of 40 years; a loving son, George; his mother, Charlotte Maldonado; two brothers, Levie Garcia and wife, Ruth and Presley Garcia; nine sisters, Vivian Arellano and husband, Guillermo, Molly Lopez and husband, Walter, Lucinda Garcia, Sandra Austin and husband, Carl, Grace Bush, Gloria Garcia, Marie Garcia, Joyce Sickenberger and husband, Mark, and Annette Garcia; mother-in-law, Rita Gallegos; sisters-in-law, Marie Gallegos, Gloria Borden and husband, Bob; many aunts, uncles, adoring nephews, nieces, cousins, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial Services will be held at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
