GIMAR -- Sherri Robison Gimar, 52, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away July 17, 2006. Sherri was born September 9, 1953 in Council Bluffs, IA to Del and Marilyn Robison. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jan C. Gimar of Rio Rancho; son, Andrew Gimar of Albuquerque; daughter, Erin Lee Gimar of Saint Louis, MO; father, Del Robison of Danville, CA; mother, Marilyn Brown Robison of Concord, CA; brothers, David Robison of Grass Valley, CA, and Tim Robison of Huntsville, TX; and three nephews. Mrs. Gimar is a graduate of Fresno State University, and earned her teaching certificate from Harris-Stowe State College, Saint Louis, MO. She was an elementary school teacher since moving to Rio Rancho in 1988. She taught at Bernalillo Mid School, St Therese Catholic School, Valle Vista, Wherry, Corrales, and S.R. Marmon in the Albuquerque Public Schools. Mrs. Gimar loved her 3 dogs, touring the national parks, crewing with the hot air balloons, and bible study. She was a member of P.E.O. Sorority, a long-time professional and volunteer Girl Scout leader/trainer, and was the technical support for the worship band at Paradise Hills Methodist. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 25, 2006 at Paradise Hills United Methodist Church, 4700 Paradise Blvd NW.
