SEDILLO -- Benito Z. Sedillo, age 72, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2006. He was born in Abo, NM and honorably served in the U.S. Army. Benito worked as a carpenter on Albuquerque for many years. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his family. Preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Paul Sanchez and uncle, Fidel Zamora, Benito is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Anita Sedillo; sons, Benny Lorenzo Sedillo and Herman Ivan Sedillo; daughters, Sylvia S. Rivera, Mary Dolores Sedillo, Margaret Stella Sedillo, Yolanda Yvonne Pippin and husband, Craig, Theresa Angela Sedillo, Lupita Gavina Sedillo, and Gloria Berna Sedillo; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW, on Friday, July 14, 2006. A Rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with U.S. Army Honors. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008
