LOVETTE -- Sylvia Carroll Lovette, 92, of Algodones, NM, died Thursday, June 29, 2006 at her home. She was born in Kentucky in 1914 and resided in Southern California with her husband, Thomas Richard Lovette for the better part of her adult life. He preceded her in death in December, 2002. She held a Master's Degree in Fine Arts and was a prolific artist working in many mediums. Her family, her church, and her art were the three things that drove her in life and she excelled in all of those areas. She is survived by her children: Anthony Lovette of Albuquerque, NM, Lynn Nevarez of Algodones, NM, and Christopher Lovette of Tucson, AZ; three sisters, Zetta Black of California, Grace Carpenter of Tennessee, and Naomi Pike of Kentucky; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
