PRESTON -- Rick Alan Preston, 54, a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006. He was born September 25, 1951 in Three Rivers, MI. He graduated high school and entered the U.S. Air Force. After discharge, Rick relocated to Albuquerque and obtained his degree in Nursing from UNM. Rick spent his career working for the Presbyterian Hospital system. He was an Accredited Operating Room Nurse and was also accredited as a Legal Nurse Consultant. Rick is survived by his partner of over nine years, Steven Wearden; his mother, Florence Preston; siblings, Sherry Bowen of Colorado Springs, CO, Lon Preston and wife, Lynn of Three Rivers, MI, Shelly Farmer of Colon, MI; as well as two generations of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Preston. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 26, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
