HERRERA -- Justino Herrera, 87, of Cochiti Pueblo and a resident of Albuquerque went "Home" to be with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 7, 2006. He is survived by his three sons, Michael, Jonathan, and Melvin; two daughters, June and Glenda; and niece, Lorraine; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and many relatives in Cochiti and Laguna Pueblo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen of Laguna Pueblo; and his three daughters, Leslie, Erma and Tina; and his parents, Jose Francisco and Josephita Herrera of Cochiti; and all his siblings, Maxine "Kay-La", Lawrence "Uncle Lorenzo", Katherine "Aunt Catalina", Gilbert "Uncle Gil", Steven "Uncle Ay-U-Wee", Tom "Uncle Tom". He was an Army Veteran. Memorial Service and interment was held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, June 8, 2006. Family expresses warm and wholehearted appreciation for the compassionate care given to him by the following, Mr. Jim Baten, Laguna Rainbow elderly Care Center, Acoma-Laguna Hospital, Laurel Skies Healthcare, Presbyterian Hospital, West Mesa Hospital, Albuquerque regional Medical Center, and Vista Care at ARMC. Family also expresses much appreciation to the staff at the Veterans Affairs Office and the Santa Fe National Cemetery for their warm and helpful assistance.
