HINDI-GREEN -- Monira Hindi-Green, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006. Monira was born in Duran, NM to William and Rasmie Hindi on May 29, 1928. She was preceded in death by her three children, Mary Elizabeth, Melheim, and Norbert; her husband, John; her parents; and her brother, Basheer Hindi. Monira is survived by her brothers, Moneer, Baheej, Azeez, Shawkeet, and Ficel; two sisters, Fareeza Belcher and Lila Hindi; sister-in-law, Jody Hindi; her faithful companion, Oreo; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. She retired from the U. S. Postal Service, many years at the bulk mail center in Denver and then here in Albuquerque. She was a volunteer at the Bear Canyon Senior Center, at Kaseman Hospital and at the Women's Hospital. After her college graduation she taught elementary school at Bernalillo and Our Lady of Fatima. Monira's husband was a Chief Master Sgt. and the family was stationed in Germany, Denver, Atlanta, and Albuquerque; she enjoyed living in all these cities. She enjoyed passing the time at the casino and lunching with her friends and family. Monira had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be Monday, June 5, 2006, 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd., NE. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 6, 2006, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd., NE. Pallbearers will be Frank Marcilla, Steve Hale, Billy Hindi, Matthew Hindi, Jimmy Grout, and Brahaim Hindi, Jr. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
